RFDP is a local non–governmental organization (NGO) in Zambia, implementing its activities in Lundazi, Chasefu, Lumezi, Katete, Chipata and Mambwe Districts in Eastern province and Kalumbila, Solwezi and Mushindamo Districts in Northwestern Province of Zambia.
RFDP has offices in Chipata, Solwezi and Lundazi districts. The organization was established in 2000 in the spirit of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. We are a registered organization with Registrar of Society, under society Act with charity number ORS /102/15/258 and with Ministry of Community Development and Social Services under NGO Act Charity Number RNGO 101/0109/13.

RFDP encourages women and men to play an equal role in shaping their own future. RFDP promotes equal participation of all people (male, female and children). We recognize the gender concept that both genders are equal and committed to sharing of roles, resources and responsible for equitable development. We will not assign roles simply because of gender or assign importance to roles and responsibilities because of gender. We seek to uphold the value and dignity of every human being at all times and RFDP endeavors to uphold and respect the rights of every person including children. This is done during our planning implementing and monitoring of our programs, projects, and plans.
RFDP promotes and believes in the culture of openness in the running and governing of the organization programs and projects both to direct and indirect beneficiaries and development partners (client’s and partners).
RFDP promotes the spirit of accounting for financial, human and physical resources to the resource providers and beneficiaries.

A fundamental factor to the success of RFDP’s projects is the teamwork and involvement of the Community at the grass root level in activity implementation and decision making and the ever presence of the organization in the community. RFDP shall ensure team in implementation of projects.
