How you can help RFDP support communities in Eastern and Northwestern Provinces of Zambia
RFDP is looking for grants for Maternal and Child health, Dental Health, Financial inclusion., Agriculture and Food Security, Women Empowerment, Environment, Forests, Wildlife Management and Climate Change and Support to Education so that we can continue to implement some of our major projects. If your organisation can help or you know of someone who might be interested to partner with us or donate to one of these projects, please email: rfdpzambia@gmail.com or admin@risingfountains.org for more information.
We are also running several fundraising campaigns to help make a real difference to the communities that we work with. Support the RFDP’s Special project “Rural Women Empowerment Fund.” The Rural Women Empowerment Fund is the RFDP’ s Zambia Financial Inclusion vehicle that promotes access to financial services amongst the underprivileged and vulnerable Women in Zambia. This is done through building the Capacity of Women in Financial Literacy, Savings Mobilization, Business Management, and enterprise development. Following the capacity Building trainings, RFDP is supporting the women with Micro Loans to boost their already existing small but medium enterprises. RWEF is currently supporting 603 project beneficiaries, 513 women and 90 Men. KINDLY DONATE TO RWEF
Help local community schools: Zambia has both government schools and community schools. The walk to government schools can be long and dangerous for small children, who often have to contend with wild animals and cross rivers to reach their destination. Community schools have therefore been set up by the communities to provide education to children who would otherwise go without education and rely on the goodwill of teachers who work for free. These schools have poor infrastructure or classrooms for learning. Volunteer teachers have already taken the first step to securing education for the future generation, help us fundraise to ensure these schools continue to provide the best possible education they can. It only requires $50,000 to construct 1 x 2 Classroom Block. KINDLY DONATE TO BUILD 1 X 2, 1 X 3 CLASSROOM BLOCK
School Supplies for school children: There are more 5,000 orphans and vulnerable children in the RFDP’s catchment area. Many of these children cannot go to school because they don’t have a uniform, books or other school supplies. With your support, RFDP can distribute school requisites to these children and help ensure they get the education they deserve. It only requires $30 to buy 2 pairs of school uniforms, books, pens and a school bag per year. KINDLY HELP US PROCURE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR LEANERS
New bicycles for community Volunteers: RFDP focus its majority of work in the Eastern and Northwestern Provinces of Zambia. These provinces have implementation sites far away from the office along some of the worst roads in Zambia. To ensure that our projects are well managed and monitored we have a fantastic network of Community based volunteers in the communities. Help us raise money for new bicycles for our volunteers to carry out their jobs more effectively and serve the community better. It only requires $90 to buy a new bicycle for a Community Volunteer.
